Consultations Terms and Conditions

This service is for a consultation with Dr. Pratte to gather more information on topics related to mental health (MH) diagnoses, how to support someone with a particular way of being (MH issue, neurological difference, addiction, etc), navigating the NHS/referral process, acquire/discuss research-informed information on such things as MH medications or supplements, and many other topics which fall under Dr. Pratte's scope of practice.

This service entitles you to
• A one hour session w/Dr. Pratte
• Relevant information to your case that has been personally chosen by Dr. Pratte
• A time and place to learn and make informed decisions with a professional about your psychological wellbeing or how to help someone else with theirs

Dr. Pratte can only offer information and professional opinions. She is not liable for any decisions or actions that you make based off of your discussions with her. She will do her best to always provide the most thorough and research-supported information to help you make those decisions, however.

If a consultation regards a child under 16 years old, the child may not be present during the initial consultation. This is to ensure "best practice" and good ethics on Dr. Pratte's part.

Should Dr. Pratte find it in the best interest for the child to be included thereafter, this may be as a consultation with you and the child, or family counselling. 1-on-1 psychotherapy with the child is also an option.

Regarding children 16 years old and over, they are legally entitled to accept or decline any involvement in consultation or other mental health service. Thus, consent must be obtained from them before they personally have a consultation, whether that is with a parent or not.

Dr. Pratte reserves the right to deny attendance of other participants in the consultation. If this occurs, she will discuss why with you.

Payment for the consultation is due at the time of booking. Should you cancel the session 48 hours or less before the consultation is scheduled to occur, or you are a "no show," your payment will not be refunded. Refunds will be issued otherwise.
